Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson is using some of the riches earned from his 5-year, $47.5 million long-term deal with the Birds to create a record label, Jaccpot, of which he is CEO. The news isn’t sitting incredibly well with Eagles fans.
Why? Because so much is on the line for the team in 2012 that a major distraction is not what you want to hear about from a key player on your team. Because after Jackson’s disappointing season in 2011, it is hoped that his full focus focus will be on football and being the dynamic player the Eagles need and know he can be. In fact, it’s what’s expected.
Let’s cut to the chase: Jackson behaved like a petulant child last season. The excuse we heard is that he was distracted because of concerns about his contract.
