To say this season was frustrating to DeSean Jackson would be an understatement.

He was still unable to catch that elusive contract he has been chasing for 2 seasons, he was ripped by fans for what they thought was questionable effort, and he bumped heads with a few reporters after games.

Despite all of that, Jackson says that if it were to up to him, he'll still be an Eagle next season.

"That's out of my control," Jackson said to Philly.com "Hopefully I will be. I consider Philadelphia my home, and the fans have embraced me and things like that."

What the Eagles do with Jackson is going to be one of the major questions facing this team. With Jackson's contract set to expire, many expect the Eagles will franchise the play-making wide out with hopes of trading him.

It is always possible of course that the Eagles and Jackson could agree on a deal.  Jackson could find that his value is not what he thought it would be on the open market, or the Eagles could decide that they will go that extra mile to bring him back.

If the Eagles do decide to franchise Jackson, it will mark a significant pay increase from his salary this season- but would likely also make what is an ugly situation between Jackson and the Eagles even uglier.
