The Detroit Lions have had issues at the running back position this season, ranking 28th offensively. RB Mikel Leshoure was drafted in the second-round of this year’s NFL draft in order to compliment speed back, Jahvid Best. Leshoure was lost for the season with an injury in pre-season and Jahvid Best has been dealing with concussion injury issues this season, his return this year is now in doubt.
At the NFL trade deadline, the Lions tried to trade for Philadelphia Eagles RB Ronnie Brown in exchange for Jerome Harrison, but Harrison failed his physical with the Eagles organization when it was determined he had a brain tumor.
