Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell is only three years removed from his senior year at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, where he rushed for 2,084 yards and 29 touchdowns. That amazing season resulted in Bell bringing home the Harlon Hill Trophy for the best Division II player of the year and a shot with the Buffalo Bills after going undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft.Bell has then gone on to play for the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, New Orleans Saints and now the Detroit Lions.Bell, who stands at 5-11 and 220 pounds, has 374 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the season, and a 5.4 yards per carry average to boot. That average currenlty bests starter Mikel Leshoure's 3.7 yards per attempt."He's strong," Lions head coach Jim Schwartz told ESPN. "One thing with Joique is, very rarely does the first guy get him down. He's got good balance, very strong. Gives us a little different dimension. All those guys are a little bit different s...

NFL Rumors: Detroit Lions To Do Everything Possible To Help Calvin Johnson Break Jerry Rice Record?

The Detroit Lions have had a very disappointing season, after finally reaching the NFL Playoffs last season. Shift in luck causing regression year for Lions

ALLEN PARK, Mich. In retrospect, the Detroit Lions were never as good as their 10-win season last year suggested. Theyre also not as bad as 4-9 looks this year with three games remaining. Reality is somewhere in-between. If they win Sunday at Arizona -- and the Lions are 6-point favorites -- they will be 15-15 since the start of the 2011 season, which is just about right. Theyre...

Peterson, Johnson add subplot to Cards-Lions

TEMPE, Ariz. Patrick Peterson is still trying to make a name for himself in the NFL. And the Cardinals' second-year cornerback has no problem lobbying on his own behalf. Packers Playbook (aka Hobbjective Analysis): Week 14 vs. Detroit Lions

If they did that thing they do ESPN where they track how many yards that you actually run, and the speed…I hope they wouldn’t put the speed up on there but maybe the distance that I ran; had to be close to 50 yards, that’s a long sprint, I haven’t been doing a lot of those lately. – Aaron Rodgers, Tuesday’s with Aaron 2012/11/12 Challenge accepted! Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals: Week 15 NFL Pick

Detroit Lions (4-9) at Arizona Cardinals (4-9) One of the most powerful trends is known as the six and six trend.
