FF Locker Room:
And the struggles continue for offensive lineman Bill Nagy who is finding it hard to not only stay healthy, but to also keep a job in the NFL as he was now released by the Detroit Lions. Considering their need for offensive line help, this doesn’t bode well.
Nagy, who was drafted as a seventh-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys has played in only four regular season games.
Once healthy, someone will give Nagy a shot as he does have the intangibles to make for a solid backup in the league.

Allen Park, Mich. -- Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford knows that much of the team's success rides on his performance.
Entering his fifth NFL season, Stafford has had a somewhat uneven career thus far, due in part to injuries early on and poor overall team play in other instances.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. Jim Schwartz had taken the Detroit Lions franchise from the laughingstock of the NFL 0-16 in 2008, the season before he became coach to 10 wins and the playoffs in just three years.

I’ve been putting off writing on the Wide Receivers hoping that there would be a key addition in the week before the Detroit Lions start training camp. An addition was made, but he likely won’t even make the roster.
Calvin Johnson is the best receiver in football today. There is no question, and no argument against this. Even the most bitter of rivals can see that Johnson...
Calvin Johnson has given the Detroit Lions something to be proud of the past two years.
He's probably the only person who can say that.
The humble wide receiver, though, would be the last one to boast.
Johnson broke one of Jerry Rice's single-season records last year with 1,964 yards receiving. He also tied Rice's personal mark with a NFL-leading 122 receptions. But...

The special teams were in disarray the first month after allowing both a punt return and a kick return for touchdowns in back-to-back weeks. Danny Crossman, the special teams coordinator, was under fire with some calling for him to be canned immediately.
The coverage units quietly got their act together and finished the season out respectably, but the return game and...

NFL training camp is nearing and position battles will heat up as we prepare for the pre-season. One position that has no battle is the Quarterbacks for the Detroit Lions. Both the starter and backup are securely in place and the only battle going on is for the third string clipboard holder.
Coming into this season there will be a lot of questions about Matthew Stafford’s worth...
