Saturday night’s matchup between the Detroit Lions and the New Orleans Saints should have a familiar feel.

It was only a month ago these two teams faced off in prime time at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The Saints come in as heavy favorites, but the Lions aren't likely to hand the game over. The Saints are hoping to repeat the results of the December meeting when they prevailed 31-17. If the Saints are going to come out on top, here are a few keys to the game:

Keep Suh in check: When the Saints beat won in December, the Lions were without defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, who was serving a suspension for trying to crush a Green Bay Packers’ player face like a grape. Suh is currently working through his sophomore slump, but he is more than capable of wreaking havoc. The Saints offensive line will need to make sure he doesn’t channel any of his rookie magic.

The return of Colston: It wasn’t long ago that Marques Colston was considered the go-to guy in the Saints offense. Tight end Jimmy Graham may have take that crown but Colston has re-emerged as of late. As coverage shifts to Graham, Colston is making defenses pay. Colston has scored five touchdown receptions over the past four games and caught no less than seven passes. He will need to do his part to keep the Lions on the toes.

Play Smart: The biggest reason the Saints beat the Lions is because they allowed the Lions to beat themselves. In their first meeting the lions committed 11 penalties compared to 3 for the Saints. The Saints also did not turn the ball over once. The Saints are not above making poor decisions that result in penalties, especially on the defensive side of the ball. If the Saints play clean football, they should have no trouble getting past the Lions.
