Former New Orleans Saints running back, Deuce McAllister, has been selected to the 2012 Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame class. During his career with the Saints, McAllister amassed a franchise record in rushing yards with 6,096 yards as well as rushing touchdowns with 49. Also, McAllister holds the franchise record for total touchdowns with 55. McAllister is probably one of the most popular players in Saints history and definitely deserving of this enshrinement into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. When he played, McAllister was a force with the ball and proved to be one of the best running backs in the game. McAllister retired shortly before the Saints advanced to the NFC championship during their Super Bowl season. However, the Saints wanted McAllister with the team so he was there on the sidelines as he served as honorary captain.
