This probably is not much of a surprise to our Jacksonville friends and quite honestly, it wasn't a shock to us either. The Jacksonville Jaguars have parted ways with Mike Mularkey after one 2-14 season as the teams head coach. The team had fired former G.M Gene Smith a few weeks ago and announced David Caldwell as his replacement on Tuesday. ESPN.com is already speculating on replacements, saying Caldwell would like to bring in pal and current San Francisco offensive coordinator Greg Roman or current Falcons defensive coordinator Mike Nolan to take over the floundering franchise. Interest in Jaguars football has been waning and team owner Shad Khan has been frantically looking for ways to boost attendance. We, along with many, were shocked at the Mularkey hiring last season.
