The Last Angry Fan:
Yes, the Indianapolis Colts are right in the thick of things in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes after getting beat 27-10 on Sunday by the Tennessee Titans. And yes, Jim Caldwell’s team has been putrid as of late, sitting at 0-8 and having been outscored 89-17 in their last two games.
But isn’t it a little premature to shell out $100 or so on Andrew Luck Colts jerseys? Aren’t they worried the football gods may smite their chances at garnering the No.1 pick in next year’s draft?
Call me superstitious, but this may not bode well for Indianapolis fans. These guys may have just jinxed their team’s chances at drafting Luck, the most highly prized quarterback prospect in recent memory.

The weekly DVOA has become a dark ritual for me each week. The Colts continue to slide in rankings: 32 in each category except offense where they weigh in at 24. It isn't even close.
Curtis Painter and the Colts followed their historically bad Week 7 performance with a not-quite-as-bad-but-still-very-bad Week 8, losing to the Titans by 17 points. With the game flow being what it was — Indy trailed 20-0 at half — Painter finished his day with 49 pass attempts. Thus we find several Colts near the top of the target leader-board, although none were particularly...
As the NFL season progresses along, there are a handful of teams that are separating themselves from the pack as the worst in the league. Whether they entered the "Suck for Luck" sweepstakes, or their best efforts are just not good enough to win a single football game in this increasingly mediocre NFL, their poor results reflect heavily on the man in charge. Whether it...
