Earlier today, the authorities in Massachusetts released more than documents relating to the search warrants obtained in connection with the murder of Odin Lloyd. They revealed text messages between Lloyd and alleged murderer Aaron Hernandez, formerly of the New England Patriots, along with other information including how Hernandez responded to investigators when they initially arrived to speak with him for the first time. But a shocking development today involves the admission from Carlos Ortiz that Hernandez was the gunmen. From the AP: Carlos Ortiz reportedly told Massachusetts investigators that another man, Ernest Wallace, said Hernandez admitted shooting Odin Lloyd in an industrial park near Hernandez’s Massachusetts home. The documents were filed in court by the Miramar, Fla., police department to justify a search of Wallace’s home in that city. The documents also say that while investigating Lloyd’s killing, police did searches in Bristol, Conn., that turned up a vehicle wanted in connection with a July 2012 double homicide in Boston. Prosecutors say Hernandez, Wallace and another man drove with Lloyd to an industrial park where Lloyd was fatally shot.
