The Miami Dolphins may just turn out to be exemplary reality television for HBO and Hard Knocks after all. They can thank a former and current player for that happening, although it is not the way they were hoping to be featured. While Chad Johnson already head butted his way off of the team and perhaps out of the NFL, Karlos Dansby may be trying to talk his way off of the team as well. Exactly as I had predicted following his arrest on a domestic abuse charge, the Dolphins released Johnson, the enigmatic wide receiver who may have just head butted his way out of the NFL for good. Signing Johnson had more to do with publicity than talent to begin with, and now they will realize that it was an experiment gone wrong. But don’t tell that to Dansby. “I hate that we didn’t stand behind him,” Dansby told a local South Beach radio station. “I know the guys in the locker room would. But the organization felt a totally different way about the situation, and they probably had more information...

Joe Philbin says that he knew in his gut that Chad Johnson wasn’t a good fit for Miami.

Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin has gone on the record in regards to why the team cut Chad Johnson in a presser that was televised on the NFL Network. Philbin assumed a stance that painted a picture that the decision was based on a “body of work” that was put together “both on and off-the-field.” Please click the link below to read this feature.

Dolphins LB Karlos Dansby Unhappy with Chad Johnson’s Release

Well that was quick. Miami Dolphins defensive captain was a guest on the Sid Rosenberg show on 640 AM in Miami and had some strong opinions on the teams decision to release wide receiver Chad Johsnon following his arrest for domestic violence on Saturday night. This can’t be going over well with new head coach Joe Philbin, whose decision it was to cut Johnson. He first major...

Dolphins’ John Jerry out of shape, unlikely to make roster

John Jerry entered the offseason as the projected started at right guard, with Vernon Carey gone. Jerry, a 2010 3rd round pick, was drafted to be a starter by this point. However, he struggled in offseason practices and soon fell below Artis Hicks, who was a backup in Cleveland last season and heading into his age 34 season. They also signed Eric Steinbach, heading into his age 32...

Dolphins show off no-huddle offense

The Miami Dolphins have decided faster is better on offense. The Dolphins unveiled their new fast-paced offense in the preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday night, going without a huddle for almost half the snaps. Miami produced only seven points in a 20-7 loss, but did succeed in establishing a faster tempo. ''I think it's awesome,''...

Chad Johnson’s future with the Dolphins is reportedly in doubt

AP Photo According to Ben Volin of The Palm Beach Post, the future of wide receiver Chad Johnson is currently in doubt as a member of the Miami Dolphins. “Dolphins receiver Chad Johnson’s standing with the Dolphins remained in doubt Sunday following his arrest Saturday night on a domestic violence charge stemming from an altercation with his wife,” reported Volin. Dolphins...

HBO to Air Footage of Joe Philbin Releasing Chad Johnson After Arrest on This Week's 'Hard Knocks'

So, how do you like being an NFL head coach, Joe Philbin? The new Miami Dolphins head coach has had his work cut out for him since taking over. His first preseason as a head coach is being documented on HBO's Hard Knocks, and it's been a wild ride already. Philbin in the Dolphins decided to cut ties with receiver Chad Johnson earlier this week after the veteran wide receiver...

Watch the video of Chad Johnson’s bond hearing for domestic violence arrest

As you probably already know, Chad Johnson of the Miami Dolphins was arrested on domestic violence charges yesterday. Luckily for him he was able to get in front of a judge early this morning (in some states he would have been in jail until Monday, oh the horror!). Bond was set at $2500 in a very quick hearing as you can see in the video below. I’m interested to see how this plays...

Dolphins Release Chad Johnson

As @jayglazer reported, Dolphins have released WR Chad Johnson. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) August 13, 2012 Gonna be an interesting episode of hard knocks this week, after Chad Johnson was arrested. Remember what he said last week?   For those who don’t have twitter accounts or are dead to the world on weekends, Chad was arrested for allegedly head-butting his wife which...

Is it over for Chad Johnson??

So the Miami Dolphins decided to part ways with wide receiver Chad Johnson on Sunday in the wake of Johnson's arrest stemming from a domestic battery incident involving him and his wife on Saturday night. This was supposed to be the time when we would see a revival of a career that had fallen on hard times last season in New England. Johnson was probably going to be the Dolphins...

Chad Johnson is released by the Dolphins

Innocent until proven guilty right? That theory does not apply when you bring unwanted attention to your business. The Miami Dolphins are completely within their rights to cut Chad Johnson because he made a mistake that they do not want affiliated with their team. The league has reported that the 34-year-old has already cleared out his locker at training camp. Even if his account...

Chad Johnson released by Dolphins following arrest

Well the Chad Johnson experiment didn’t last long in South Beach. A day after the former star wide out was arrested on domestic violence charges for head butting his wife over a receipt for a box of condoms, the Miami Dolphins released Chad Johnson. (Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer) The move immediately makes HBO’s Hard Knocks more excited but leaves the Dolphins with Davone Bess...
