Marc Sessler of NFL.com reports that Miami Dolphins running back, Daniel Thomas, suffered a torn ankle ligament against the Carolina Panthers. Sidelined for an extended period, the Dolphins may put Thomas on the injured reserve list, officially ending his season. The Dolphins’ 2011 second-round draft pick has 279 yards and three touchdowns this season on 77 rushes. The Dolphins’...

Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas Likely Done For The Season

According to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas is likely done for the remainder of the 2013 season. Thomas left Sunday’s game after his legs unfortunately were bent underneath him. Following the game, Thomas was seen on crutches and sporting a walking boot, so it’s pretty clear that this wasn’t a typical ankle sprain. Should Thomas...

Report: “Momentum Building” For G Richie Incognito To Return To The Dolphins

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that there is “some momentum building” for G Richie Incognito to the return to the Dolphins. The NFL is currently in the process of conducting their investigation in the bullying situation involving Incognito and Jonathan Martin. Incognito recently met with NFL investigator Ted Wells, so there should be a better idea of what will happen with...

Pitiful Picks: Can the Dolphins stop the streaking Panthers?

Dolphins fans, I must admit that I’ve missed writing each day on this blog, it’s good to be back! I’ve been on vacation in Hawaii but now I’m back and re-energized! Thanks to Jules and Cyrus for holding down the fort this week. The Dolphins are coming off of a big win last week, which out them right in the middle of the playoff race. Now, they welcome in the streaking Panthers...

Report: More Incognito shenanigans uncovered in Ted Talks

The Richie Incognito/bullying investigation continues to churn out new juicy tidbits that’s sure to make The Rog’s ginger hairs stand on in, stuff that makes the harassment of a former team staff member seem pretty tame by comparison. In his Sunday Buzz column this morning, the Miami Herald’s Brian Jackson dropped several interesting and incendiary nuggets (yum) on the ongoing...

C Pouncey, CB Patterson inactive for Dolphins

Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey and cornerback Dimitri Patterson are inactive against Carolina. Pouncey will miss his second consecutive game Sunday while he recovers from a gall bladder ailment. Patterson is out with a groin injury that has hampered him for much of the season. Nate Garner will again start for Pouncey, and Nolan Carroll will start for Patterson. Dolphins rookie...

Dolphins OT Jonathan Martin likely to talk again to NFL investigator

Miami Dolphins tackle Jonathan Martin will likely be interviewed a second time by NFL special investigator Ted Wells about the team's bullying scandal, a person familiar with the situation said Sunday. The second interview will likely be in New York City or California the first week in December, the person told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because details about...

Lamar Miller goes from 1a to 1 with Daniel Thomas 'out of picture'

Lamar Miller entered the season as the Miami Dolphins' pseudo starting running back. He was the No. 1, but the team insisted on keeping Daniel Thomas in a 1b role. Sunday, Thomas sustained an injury to his left ankle in the Dolphins' loss to the Carolina Panthers and has reportedly been lost for the season. We'll know more Wednesday, as the team hasn't made Thomas...

Panthers LB played through dislocated finger with bone out

Add this to the annals where the toughness exhibited by professional football players are compiled: According to Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera, linebacker Thomas Davis suffered a dislocated finger during Carolina’s 20-16 victory over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Not only did Davis dislocate his finger, the injury reportedly was so severe that a […]The post Panthers...

Efforts to enliven Miami offense fail

The Miami Dolphins' offense is underwhelming and underachieving even though they invested heavily in upgrading the unit last offseason. Their yards per play and per game are lower than in 2012. While defense has kept the team in almost every game, the Dolphins are 5-6 and struggling mightily to stay in the race for the final AFC playoff berth. Heading into Sunday's road...

Panthers 20, Dolphins 16: Takeaways & observations

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- In a conference where the final playoff spot appears destined for a team with a mediocre record, the Miami Dolphins remain alive. But Miami once again will have to show great resiliency in the wake of Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Carolina Panthers at Sun Life Stadium. Miami (5-6) went ahead 7-3 with 5:39 left in the first quarter and led until Cam Newton...

Mike Wallace Wants To Shut Antonio Cromartie Up

Mike Wallace is finally starting to make plays for the Miami Dolphins.  Wallace had his best game as a Dolphin against the Carolina Panthers, accounting for 5 catches 127 yards and 1 touchdown. Wallace’s new found success has led him to run his mouth a little bit this week.  With a big matchup against the Jets looming, Wallace told the Miami Herald that he wants to “shut...

Miami Dolphins at New York Jets: Three Bold Predictions

This is a game the Miami Dolphins must win. Sitting in the crosshairs of a playoff seat with a 5-6 record in a very tight AFC conference, these Dolphins have to find their inner Don Shula and come out on top against the New York Jets a team that has been more Jekyll than Hyde this season. With everything riding on this game another loss will prove to be disastrous for both teams...

Where Have You Gone Chad Pennington?

If you told me six years ago that I would be longing for and reminiscent of the Chad Pennington years, I would have told you that you were crazy but here we are and the Jets are no closer to the second of coming of Chad Pennington than they are to the second coming of Joe Namath. Since the Jets traded for Brett Favre in the Summer of 2008 and let Chad go to the Dolphins, the Jets...
