Found June 27, 2012 on Football Nation:
Donovan McNabb is eight months younger than Peyton Manning and is coming off of exactly four less neck surgeries. McNabb holds every major franchise passing record (wins, TD's, completions, passer rating, etc.) in Philadelphia Eagles history. He has been training like a madman on the beach Rocky IV-style for the past couple of months and appears to be in superior shape.  Yet it appears that no team is going to touch No. 5 with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole, and sadly, I can't say I blame any of them. As a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan, I whole-heartedly believe that McNabb's skill-set and resume more than qualifies him for a backup job somewhere in the league. However, in a twist of fate that has to have Terrell Owens smiling somewhere to himself, I believe that McNabb's baggage is what is preventing him from finding a job for the 2012 NFL season.  McNabb dug this hole himself.  He just doesn't seem to be having fun in the same way that he used to...

Is Donovan McNabb NFL Hall of Fame worthy?

If this is indeed the end for Donovan McNabb, the #2 overall pick in 1999 by Philadelphia, then 2017 would be the first opportunity for Canton’s Board of Selectors to decide the fate of his legacy. Morning Huddle - McNabb looking at a comeback

The enduring image of Donovan McNabb. Donovan McNabb told NBC SportsTalk on Thursday that he puts his chances of playing in 2012 at 80-90%. I'm always pessimistic about players that say they're making a comeback, especially when the player in question hasn't signed with a team yet. The market for a quarterback like McNabb is virtually non-existent. The only way I see...

Donovan McNabb positive he will be on a roster in 2012

Donovan McNabb has passed for 37,276 yards with 234 touchdowns. He’s been to six Pro Bowls, most recently in 2009, and has led teams to six division titles and five conference championship games. Yet, he’s not one of the 133 quarterbacks on current NFL rosters, which allow for up to 90 players. McNabb has reportedly dropped 20 pounds this offseason. The 35-year-old has expressed...

Donovan McNabb: A Worthy Investment in 2012

Donovan McNabb's lackluster 2011 campaign culminated with his requested release from the Vikings after his benching in favor of rookie Christian Ponder. His six-game tenure in Minnesota left McNabb miles away from the days of Pro Bowls and NFC Championships in Philadelphia.  McNabb has been training feverishly this offseason, hoping that an NFL team might give him another chance...

Donovan McNabb Sure He Will Play in NFL in 2012, But For Which Team?

Donovan McNabb says he is pretty sure that he will play for a team in the NFL during the 2012 season, but he declined to say if he has received any interest from a team to this point. After playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings, McNabb is looking for a fourth team to help him continue his career, although struggling heavily with his last two...

Will Donovan McNabb be back in uniform in 2012? You may not see it, but former longtime Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb still sees a future for himself in the NFL in 2012. McNabb has been a semi-regular presence on football-related TV this season. He has shed 20 pounds and enlisted a top quarterback coach to improve his mechanics in order to increase his chances of landing on a...

Donovan McNabb thinks Eagles could have made Super Bowl without T.O., even though he gave team a boost

There’s always a controversy in Philadelphia surrounding the Eagles, but things were more contentious than usual when Terrell Owens was there. T.O. caught 20 touchdown passes in 21 games with the Eagles over one and a half seasons. The team went 13-3 and lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl during the 2004 season — his first with the team. Owens received praise for coming...

Cup of Joe - Gregg Doyel the voice of reason?

We missed our Cup of Joe, which means we have plenty to discuss in today's edition... The calls to hand Penn State the death penalty, label the university with a lack of institutional control and stripping the entire football program are out there. They are written by lazy sportswriters lacking creativity and starving for page views who probably have an anti-Philadelphia sports...
