The Rams have not closed the door on defensive end Leonard Little returning to the Rams according to Howard Balzer of the St. Louis Globe-Democrat. Billy Devaney says that no talks are happening between the Rams and Little even though a report broke this week that said that Leonard Little has “all but decided to play” in 2010. The Rams are the only team that Little has played for in his career.
The Rams would certainly want Little back as a situational pass rusher. He was very successful in that role in 2009. He had a bit of a career resurgence as new head coach Steve Spagnuolo was able to put Little in position to be successful. And Little was successful. He almost single-handedly won a game for the Rams with an amazingly acrobatic interception and return for a touchdown.
Leonard Little has a planned visit to the New Orleans Saints this offseason, but cancelled it. He presumably returned home in the Carolinas for the offseason and we have not seen or heard anything from him until now.
