For a guy who isnt giving any interviews about Robert Griffin IIIs knee, Dr. James Andrews is sure giving a lot of interviews about Robert Griffin IIIs knee.
In fairness, Andrews is out promoting his book, Any Given Monday, which is what first brought him into the news. Since then, the surgeon has done several more book promotion interviews, and many of his wise interviewers recognizing the topic of the moment have asked Andrews about RGIII.
Thus, this, via Inside SoCalsTom Hoffarth:
Of course not, Andrews said the other morning, asked if he was concerned how his actions were perceived. People dont understand what goes on down on the football field. [Mike Shanahan] didnt know what we were really saying. Ive put that all behind me now.
He said he wasnt at liberty to explain how RGIIIs surgery went, only that hes well on his way to recovery and, after eight months of projected rehab, hell likely start the 2013 season.
