2013-14 Season  Summary The Houston Texans had very high expectations coming into this season. This team was picked by a bunch of people to make it to the Super Bowl but they fell extremely short of those predictions. They had a 2-14 record and they have the number 1 pick in this year’s NFL Draft. After benching Matt Schaub and losing 11 straight games, the team fired head coach Gary Kubiak and brought in former Penn State head coach Bill O’Brien. This franchise has tons of talent on the roster and with a few more pieces, they can turn their fortune around quicker than most franchises can. ICYMI, 1st ‘On the Clock’ profile was Teddy Bridgewater. This roster has great players like Arian Foster and Andre Johnson on it so if they do draft a quarterback he will have a running game and a security blanket already in place for him. Any quarterback drafted into this situation is very lucky. They might have the number one pick but this is definitely not the worst roster in the NFL. In the past, O’Brien has shown a liking for tall pocket passers. There is not that type of quarterback at the top of the draft so it is very possible that they pick up Jadeveon Clowney and pair him with JJ Watt on the defensive line. If you ask me, they should draft Jadeveon Clowney and try to pick up a quarterback like Derek Carr later in the draft. As I stated earlier I do not see the prototypical tall, pocket passer that O’Brien is used to at the top of the draft so it would make sense to try to get Clowney and form a potentially dominant defensive line. Mock Draft (via @BuckyBrooks): 1. Clowney, @houstontexans 2. Robinson, @StLouisRams 3. Bridgewater, @jaguars 4-32: http://t.co/8wKNFJxctj — NFL (@nfl) January 16, 2014     Follow Me On Twitter: @JOnTheSidelines               The post Draft Profile: Houston Texans appeared first on UTN Sports.
