Drew Brees has been very vocal about the whole bounty scandal involving the New Orleans Saints, and his frustration has yet to subside. Brees spoke out about the scandal again on Thursday, noting that he agrees with everything his former teammate, Scott Fujita, said in a statement released on Wednesday. "This could go on for a while, because, certainly, our players are not satisfied with some of the things that commissioner [Roger] Goodell has claimed or said," Brees said Thursday on the NFL Network's NFL AM. "It seems like so much of his suspensions have been based upon speculation and rhetoric and maybe the testimony of some pretty unreliable sources. So that's the unfortunate thing. It seems like his decision changes quite a bit, or at least the reasoning behind what his decision is. So that's the disappointing part of it for all of us. Now that we're in the middle of the season, we just want to play football, we want to focus on winning games. It's been a tough road, but we're really just trying to compartmentalize this, block it out so we can focus on the season." Brees' comments come in the wake of the commissioner reissuing punishments to four players for their alleged involvement in the Saints' bounty scandal. The punishments were a reduction from the initial punishments handed down, but Fujita -- who has been suspended one game for his alleged involvement -- issued a statement on Wednesday. The former Saints linebacker, who is now with the Browns, made his disappointment known, and said that Goodell is abusing his power as commissioner. Brees also spoke out Thursday during an appearance on ESPN's Mike and Mike in the Morning. "This whole bounty thing, for the most part, is just a big sham," Brees said. "The fact that our coaches are suspended for part of the year or the entire year is pretty ridiculous." The Saints picked up their first victory of the season against the Chargers on Monday night. With Brees' team sitting at 1-4, however, it's easy to see that this whole Bountygate thing continues to be an issue. H/T to NBC's Pro Football Talk
