Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints handed the undefeated Atlanta Falcons their first loss of the 2012 season, that’s it folks there are no more undefeated teams in the NFL this season. The Saints did it by playing as a well balanced football team. Brees threw for 298 yards completing 21 of the 32 passes he threw, Brees had 3 touchdowns and threw one interception. The Saints had a lot of production from their running game today. Chris Ivory carried the ball only 7 times and had 72 yards rushing. Ivory broke one long for 56 yards and had a touchdown. Mark Ingram carried the football 16 times for 67 yards and he kept the pressure on the Falcons to try and stop the Saints running game. The New Orleans Saints said they knew they were going to win this game, in the post game Brees said the whole team worked hard for this win and they had a feeling all week they could take down the Falcons of their undefeated thrown. The Saints who have struggled this season without their head coach Sean Peyton, have shown they can compete, they are now 4-5 and are looking to turn things around. The team knows what they have to do from here on out. The interesting thing will be seeing them do it….At one game below .500 they certainly have their work cut out for themselves if they want to compete in post season play this year.
