Dwight Freeney has been a member of the Indianapolis Colts for as long as I’ve been a fan. And there aren’t many players I can say that about. Not anymore.
Dwight Freeney and I both went to Syracuse. So, there’s that. We weren’t there together. But I would imagine he spent a few evenings at 44′s. As did I (more than I care to mention, really).
But that doesn’t even explain it. It’s neither of those things. The reason Dwight Freeney is special to me is because he taught me something about football.
I have always been a football fan. But I used to watch football for the offense. I loved watching the quarterback make the impossible throw, watching the receiver make the unbelievable...

Should the Broncos go after Dwight Freeney?
The Indianapolis Colts informed Dwight Freeney today that they will not re-sign him, and thus, he is free to sign with whoever he wants.
The Broncos have a lot of money tied up in the younger Dumervil (29)(Freeney is 33), and not much on the other side of the line, where Freeney plays. Sure, the Broncos have Wolfe, but he’s better inside. Robert Ayers plays Freeney’s position...

Dwight Freeney: New York Jets a Great Fit For Former Colts Stud
New York Jets fans, Dwight Freeney was recently cut by the Indianapolis Colts after 11 seasons and 107.5 sacks. He is the edge pass-rusher the Jets have never had in the Rex Ryan era! When looking at Freeney, think Michael Strahan, more on that thought in a moment. The Jets have tried and missed on previous edge rushers in the way of Calvin Pace, who in essentially the same number...
