Dwight Freeney’s father Hugh was on SiriusXM NFL Radio and said his son would love to play for the New York Giants, but “they’re broke.”
Well the Giants could afford to pay Freeney, but he would have to accept a contract that’s worth the veteran minimum and I don’t think he’s going to do that.
If the Giants were going to sign Freeney, they should have just kept Osi Umenyiora. But the fact of the matter is that the Giants have to get younger at the defensive end position, which is why they drafted Demontre Moore.
