Found September 15, 2013 on Eagles Eye:
The good news is the Eagles scored 30 points and left maybe a dozen more on the table... The bad news is the Eagles gave up 33...  The Eagles' defense will be under fire today. But truth be told, we already knew that area of combat was our weakest point. I would like to point the finger more at the offense, who you would be advised to acknowledge has got to do a better job of finishing its drives... But props to Phil Rivers and the Chargers, who had little problem at all in finishing. Philip Rivers threw three touchdown passes to Eddie Royal, and Nick Novak kicked a 46-yard field goal with 7 seconds left to lead the Chargers past the Philadelphia Eagles 33-30 on Sunday, spoiling Chip Kelly's home debut. Michael Vick threw for a career-best 428 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a score. But a porous Eagles defense couldn't stop Rivers all day. Rivers finished 36 of 47 for 419 yards, and the Chargers punted only once. They fumbled twice insid...

Philadelphia Eagles: The woes aren’t over yet

Last week the Philadelphia Eagles displayed their new high powered offense to American football fans and other teams alike. Michael Vick finally has the complete offense he hasn’t had his entire pro football career. He has numerous great wideouts in DeSean Jackson, Riley Cooper and Jason Avant, an efficient running back in LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown, and now has the protection...

Rivers sees Chargers turning around

If the San Diego Chargers beat winless Jacksonville on Sunday, they'll be above .500 for the first time this season. That's a big deal for a team that looked so dismal in a loss at Oakland before using a methodical, balanced offense to beat Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts 19-9 Monday night. Now the Chargers (3-3) will try to win consecutive games for the first time...

Michael Vick Throws 61 Yard Bomb To DeSean Jackson For TD (GIF)

DeSean Jackson is playing like it’s a contract year. Jackson, who has been paid all of his guaranteed money, could be released for minimal cap hit if he doesn’t perform.  DeSean has 14 catches for 262 yards and two touchdowns in first two games. He got the hint.

Vick struggles in Eagles' 26-16 loss to Chiefs

The old Michael Vick returned along with Andy Reid. Vick had three turnovers and got sacked five times as the Philadelphia Eagles lost 26-16 to Reid's Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night. ''I take full responsibility,'' Vick said. ''I didn't get the offense going. I didn't get the tempo going. We didn't play well by any stretch. We didn...

NFL Preview: Tennessee Titans vs. Houston Texans

The Tennessee Titans will travel to Reliant Stadium as they try to keep their upset trend going. The Titans on the other hand, leant on their strong defensive [...]

Fantasy Fix: Week 3 Waiver Wire Free-for-All

After a Bizarro Week 2 around the NFL in which three of the top six fantasy scorers were under 50% owned, this weeks waiver wire will be a free-for-all of Ted Nugent proportions. There’s also more than a few injury concerns coming out of the week (Steven Jackson, Eddie Lacy, MJD, Ray Rice) to go along with players seeing their stock rise (Giovani Bernard, Knowshon Moreno, Eddie...

The Eagles Are Who We Thought They Were

Eagles 30, Chargers 33, Sunday, September 15, 2013 After week one, we were all like: “Hey! Maybe the Eagles D isn’t too bad!” Nope. Turns out, the Skins are just that bad this year. Stud of the week: Michael Vick, clearly, who had a career day with 428 yards, two thrown TDs, one run TD, and no turnovers. DJax had a good day, too, as did Shady, with a career receiving day...

Waiver Wire Week 3

Time to hop on the waiver wire if you need to fill some position holes on your team. Get ‘em: Eddie Royal, WR, San Diego Chargers – Well there is definitely some magic between Royal and QB Philip Rivers. After surprising everyone with 2 TDs in week 1 vs. Houston, Royal impressed even further with an even better performance in week 2 against Philadelphia, grabbing 7 catches for...

Kelly admits he messed up injury rule

Chip Kelly is learning the NFL rule book on the job. The do-it-his-way coach didn't think he could use a timeout to allow a banged-up Michael Vick to stay in the game during an important moment in the Philadelphia Eagles' 33-30 loss to San Diego Chargers to Sunday. Upon further review, Kelly learned he was wrong. ''That's on me. I didn't think we could...

Week Three Rankings

Week Three Rankings At wide receiver DeSean Jackson has seen himself rise all the way to WR1 territory. He looks almost unstoppable with Vick in Chip Kelly’s offense and despite racking up nine receptions for 193 yards he left over 130 yards on the field on passes that he barely missed corralling in. DeSean was always a special talent but is really breaking out in this new system...

Eagles reportedly nearly traded for Colin Kaepernick, wanted to draft Russell Wilson

The Philadelphia Eagles seem to be well situated with Michael Vick running Chip Kelly’s offense, but a report says they had their eye on a few other emerging quarterbacks prior to last season. According to Pro Football Talk, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Eagles were in talks with the San Francisco 49ers prior to […]
