Eagles Could Prove A Spoiler as 3 1/2-Point Underdog Against Cincinnati Bengals
By SBRForum.com
The Philadelphia Eagles showed they still have a little fight left in them when coming back to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the final play Sunday and snap an eight-game losing streak. Now they will face a quick turnaround and host the playoff-hungry Cincinnati Bengals Thursday night.
Rookie quarterback Nick Foles continued to show signs he could have a future in Philadelphia in what was just his fourth career start. He spearheaded the Eagles 23-21 comeback win over the Bucs with two touchdown passes late in the fourth quarter, the last one being a one-yarder to Jeremy Maclin with no time left on the clock. Foles finished with 381 yards through the air on 32 of 51 passing.
Cincinnati (7-6) remains in a dogfight for the final AFC playoff spot following a heartbreaking 20-19 home loss to the Dallas Cowboys. This week’s NFL odds have the Bengals installed as a 3 1/2-point favorite over th...

Nick Foles is Impressing, But a Tough Test Looms Against the Bengals
Photo: David Maialetti
Philadelphia Eagles rookie QB Nick Foles is certainly impressing everyone from fans, to teammates, to coaches. He looked like a poised veteran when he threw the game-winning touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin as time expired.
Wait, did I say “game-winning?” As in, the Eagles won? Wholly crap, that’s right, they did! For the first time since September...

Maybe it's the fluttering downfield passes which should have been intercepted... maybe it's the zoned-out expression on his face...maybe it's the inevitable historic references to Mike Boryla and Bobby Hoying, Eagles rookie QB's of the past who had brief encounters with initial success, then flamed out...

In his fourth start of his career, Nick Foles made a strong case to be the Eagles’ starting quarterback in 2013.

Foles Should Seek Out Tom Brady
Tom Brady should be Foles model
The NFL is all about throwing the football and Eagles head coach, Andy Reid is their leading ambassador. With this being a quarterback-driven league, a team needs one who is a smart, decisive, leader of men. The Eagles may have one in Nick Foles, but after watching Monday night’s Patriots blowout over the Texans, Tom Brady is who Foles should aspire...
Nick Foles Stakes Claim as Eagles’ Quarterback of the Future With Epic Late-Game Comeback
This season has become something of a nightmare for Andy Reid and the Philadelphia Eagles. But they may have finally found a silver lining.
With so many key pieces already in place and a full year of coexistence behind them, the Eagles’ expectations were sky high. But the results have been anything but.
With a 4-9 record and no hopes at a playoff berth for a second straight season...
Bucs focus on executing after difficult loss
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- The fading Tampa Bay Buccaneers talk about needing to make more plays.
Coach Greg Schiano just wants them to concentrate on doing their jobs.
The coach rejected the notion Monday that the Bucs (6-7) failed to protect a fourth-quarter lead for the fourth time this season because they did not make enough plays down the stretch of a last-second 23-21 loss to rookie...
NFL Week 14 thoughts & recap
Let’s take a look back at some of the things that stood out from Week 14 in the National Football League! How about the Indianapolis Colts getting 9 wins this season!? Could they pull a 2009 New York Jets in the playoffs and do well while being led by a rookie QB?
Nick Foles and fantasy subterfuge
Did you watch the Philly-Tampa Bay game today? It was a rough game to watch if you were an Eagles fan. Hell, it was just a rough game to watch. The magic that running back Bryce Brown had been weaving in the previous two weeks just wasn’t in the cards against a Bucs defense that [...]
Philadelphia Eagles Head Coach Profile: Mike McCoy
Today I was planning on breaking down Oregon’s Chip Kelly as a candidate to be the next head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. Then I watched Nick Foles on tape against Tampa Bay and I had to mention somebody else first. Denver’s offensive coordinator Mike McCoy might be the ideal head coach for the Foles and the Eagles.
I am going to say something that is going to rub a lot...

Bengals wary of looking past Eagles
A midweek trip to Philadelphia should keep the Cincinnati Bengals from focusing on another Pennsylvania team for a few more days.
The Bengals (7-6) find themselves in a unique position where they're tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the last playoff spot in the AFC, but a loss to the Eagles (4-9) Thursday night wouldn't ruin their chances.

The Philadelphia Eagles have turned the quarterback position over to rookie Nick Foles for the rest of the season which leads everyone to believe one thing: Michael Vick’s days are numbered in Philly. Nnamdi Asomugha Hurt Jeremy Maclin’s Groin After Game-Winning Touchdown
On Sunday, the Eagles won a game for the first time since September, finally putting to rest those weekly “the Phillies have won a game more recently than the Eagles” jokes.
