Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson is staying overnight at a hospital after suffering a seizure at training camp at Lehigh University Wednesday. Patterson dropped to the ground between plays during a morning practice, and the player began violently shaking.
The cause of the seizure is unknown but the 90+ degree heat may have contributed to the event. It is unknown if Patterson has any history of this in the past.
Patterson’s return to practice or playing is unknown as further test are expected to be performed.
