Just a few days ago, Curtis Marsh was out of football. On Sunday, he could be starting at cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles. Marsh, a third-round draft pick of the Eagles in 2011, was cut by the team in training camp. He was then signed by the Cincinnati Bengals and released a few weeks later. With just four cornerbacks on the roster, and one of them, starter Bradley Fletcher, hampered by a pectoral injury he sustained in last Sunday's win over Oakland, the Eagles reached out to Marsh. They signed him Tuesday. Fletcher has yet to practice fully this week, and if his condition does not improve, either Marsh, or Roc Carmichael could start opposite Cary Williams at corner when the Eagles travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.

Two Potential Landing Spots For Michael Vick Following 2013.

The verdict is still up in the air for Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles who is starting against the Packers after a week eight performance that shot him into the record books. Foles has an opportunity to be the starting QB if he can continue to produce wins and keep […]The post Two Potential Landing Spots For Michael Vick Following 2013. appeared first on Eagles Pulse.

Play Calling Shows Eagles Coach Chip Kelly Adapting to NFL Philosophy

“Adaptability” was one of the catch-phrases used to describe Chip Kelly after he was hired as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.  In essence, it meant that he had the ability to adapt his scheme to best fit the personnel running his offense. Over the course of his first eight games, we’ve seen Kelly roll out several different formations.  We’ve seen the unbalanced...

Few Surprises On Eagles Wednesday Injury Report

Michael Vick continues to be limited at Eagles practice as he recovers from a hamstring pull. Almost as expected, Michael Vick was limited in practice on Wednesday.  Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly was coy as ever Wednesday when it comes to naming his starting quarterback for Sunday's matchup on the not so frozen tundra of Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers...

LeSean McCoy Due For a Breakout Game vs. Packers

LeSean McCoy is hands down one of the most electrifying running backs in the NFL today and in Philadelphia Eagles history. He has an instinctual knack at finding the open holes and a cunning ability to change his course in the blink of an eye, making him very dangerous […]The post LeSean McCoy Due For a Breakout Game vs. Packers appeared first on Eagles Pulse.

Rookie LT Lane Johnson is improving steadily on the offensive line: 'sometimes you have bad games, but it's just how you recover from it'

Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly said on Wednesday about rookie LT Lane Johnson's progress and he replied: "A great group of older guys to learn from, they've really kind of taken him under their wings and kind of fostered that," via Les Bowen of Johnson added along with working a good group, it has bee fun hanging with a 'bunch of goofballs.'

Fantasy football: Best performances of the year

This past Sunday, nick Foles threw for seven touchdowns, an impressive fantasy football day to say the least. In most leagues he was a free agent, so few took advantage of his great day. Foles had a total of 406 passing yards and went 22-of-28. Pulled in the fourth quarter, he still managed to put up 45 fantasy points. With that being said let’s look at the top fantasy performances...

Friday Twitter Mailbag: Secret To Defense's Turnaround

The Eagles Defense has had a resurgance in recent weeks thanks in large part to defensive coordinator Bill Davis' scheme taking root. Each Friday morning we will select some of the top questions we receive on Twitter and give them the kind of insight and analysis that can't fit within 140 characters. To have your question asked simply tweet it to @MattLombardo975 or@EagledelphiaPA and...

Nick Foles Gets Jersey Hung in Hall of Fame Next to Peyton Manning’s After Throwing Seven Touchdowns

Peyton Manning is playing over his head this year, which is saying something, but even his crazy numbers aren’t enough to separate himself from the likes of Nick Foles in the Hall of Fame race. That’s right — Manning and Foles now share a memorabilia display case in Canton that commemorates Manning’s otherworldly Week 1 performance against the Ravens, when he popped the bottle...

Nick Foles' success is pushing Michael Vick out of Philadelphia

Nick Foles is off to an unbelievably quick start as the Philadelphia Eagles’ starting quarterback. After watching the Eagles in preseason play, it’s hard to believe the same Nick Foles that looked completely out of his depth when compared to Michael Vick has now staked a claim on Vick’s job. Statistics don’t often tell the whole story, and Nick Foles’ case is no different...

Philadelphia Eagles: Foles’ Record Setting Day Lifts the Eagles Over the Raiders in Oakland

Nick Foles rocks Oakland as he shreds the Raiders for seven touchdown passes and 406 yards in the Eagles 49-20 victory on Sunday.  Just how good was the second year quarterback for Philly?   Well, for starters, he threw more touchdowns than incompletions (as he was 22/28 passing the ball).  He took only one sack and just about every one of his passes were on target.  Three of...

Progress report on Lane Johnson as Eagles prepare for Packers in Green Bay...

I thought Rob Edwards of the South Jersey Times had a nice take on the progress of Eagles rookie offensive lineman Lane Johnson earlier today. Lane Johnson has been doing a better job of not standing out lately. "After costly mistakes during the first few weeks of the season — giving up multiple sacks in a September loss to Kansas City and nullifying a DeSean Jackson...

Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers: 2013 Week 10 NFL Pick

Philadelphia Eagles (4-5) at Green Bay Packers (5-3) Trends wise, the Eagles have the advantage here. The Packers will probably be non-divisional road favorites in New York last week and face the Giants and they are non-divisional home favorites this week. Teams are 61-85 ATS in that spot since 2002. Meanwhile, the Eagles are non-divisional road dogs before being divisional home...
