When your football team is in the news in July it’s generally not a good thing. With two months to go before the NFL season kicks off, the Philadelphia Eagles can’t be happy that their players are making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Back in April linebacker Jake Knott was suspended for four games, and now it appears that another Eagle has been bitten by the PED bug.
According to Paul Domowitch of Philly.com, right tackle Lane Johnson has tested positive and will be suspended by the league:
League sources tell me Eagles starting RT Lane Johnson has tested positive for PEDs and will miss first 4 games.

Johnson may already have been out of favor with Philadelphia’s front office after gaining seven pounds since the end of the 2013 season and this of course isn’t going to help any. Allen Barbre, who recently signed a three year extension is expected to replace Johnson on the offensive line for the first four games.
Johnson was the number four overall pick in the 2013 draft and started all 16 games for the Eagles last season.
