The Eagles are finished with their evaluations. The 53 man roster is in stone. Andy Reid must not believe in the old adage, “history often repeats itself.”
Let us start with the obvious surprise. The Eagles cut Sinorice Moss and Johnnie Lee Higgins. Each player has speed and experience returning punts/kick offs. Both players were used accordingly in the preseason. Now, they are gone. Who is going to return punts/kicks? Seemingly, the Eagles do not care. Why? Who the hell knows?
The Eagles overlooked a returner several years back. That turned out to be a huge mistake. The result: terrible field position, turnovers galore and zero threat of a return to the house. Reno Mahe was given the job. Mahe could not run away from my five year old son and would not have been on any other NFL roster.
So, here we go again. One would presuppose a coach as ‘brilliant’ as Andy Reid would think that field position plays a critical role to an outcome in a NFL gam...
