The Eagles will induct the late Jim Johnson into the team's Honor Roll during halftime of Sunday night's game against Dallas. Johnson was Philadelphia's defensive coordinator from 1998-2009 but he died after a battle with cancer shortly before training camp opened in July 2009. "He was an awesome coach, man," defensive tackle Mike Patterson said. "He always inspired guys to go out there and play hard and that's why I liked him. He didn't have to come out there and yell and stuff like that. He would just go out there and talk and have respect for you. So I always enjoyed him. I always miss him. He was an awesome coach." Under Johnson, the Eagles had one of the most feared defenses in the NFL. Johnson had an aggressive philosophy and his complex scheme featured a ton of blitzes. "I appreciate the organization doing that for Jim," coach Andy Reid said. "He's well deserving obviously, and I know it means a ton to his family. Obviously the game's very important, but so is that. I always said that I thought he was the best in the business at what he did. It was the right thing for the organization to do. I'm proud of the organization for doing that as early as they did it. It's a great tribute to him and his family." Cornerback Eric Allen, who went to five Pro Bowls during seven seasons in Philadelphia from 1988-94, also will be inducted into the team's Honor Roll on Sunday.

Rob Ryan: I was outcoached by Eagles

Prior to the season, Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan took a page out of his brother’s coaching handbook, sending a few thinly veiled shots at the Eagles and their litany of free agent acquisitions. Ryan dubbed Philly the “all-hype” team and vowed that the ‘Boys would “kick their ass” all over the gridiron. On Sunday night, the time arrived...

Dion Lewis inactive after car accident

Eagles running back Dion Lewis is inactive for Sunday night's game against Dallas after he was involved in a minor car accident earlier in the day. Lewis was a little shaken up, but was at the game. He served this season as Philadelphia's kick returner and backup running back. The Cowboys have three offensive lineman among the inactives, including guard Daniel Loper, center...

Andy Reid After the Bye Week Continues To Be A Sure Thing

“I feel great.” These words were said by Andy Reid Sunday night after his Eagles (3-4) team crushed the hated division rival Dallas Cowboys (3-4) 34-7 at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia. During Reid’s press conference, he was asked how he felt now that the Eagles have won two games in a row [...]

Eagles embarrass Cowboys on Sunday Night

There is nothing like the Eagles crushing the Cowboys, especially when it is on national television for all the country to see. The Eagles basically played a perfect game in downing Dallas, 34-7, and are now 3-4 and find themselves right back in the thick of the division. Here are my thoughts on the game:-LeSean McCoy was clearly the best player on the field. McCoy juked, jived...

Cowboys vs. Eagles

The Eagles are 12-0 coming off a bye under head coach Andy Reid. The Cowboys (3-3) will have to end that streak on the road to pull back above .500 in this gritty division clash.

Philadelphia Eagles (2-4) vs. Dallas Cowboys (3-3)

The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their bye week, so they have had two weeks to get ready for the HUGE GAME tomorrow night at home against the Cowboys.  The Cowboys thrashed the Rams 34-7 in Dallas last weekend.  Here is a look at the matchups in this game: When the Eagles have the ball:  The Eagles will likely come out throwing the ball tomorrow night instead of challenging...

Eagles Crush Cowboys, Get Back on Track

Now these are the Philadelphia Eagles we were expecting heading into the season. In a dominant performance, the Eagles destroyed the Dallas Cowboys by a final score of 34-7. And honestly, it wasn’t even that close. Michael Vick had one of his best games of the season, finishing 21-for-28 for 279 passing yards, 50 rushing yards and two passing touchdowns. Running back LeSean...

Dallas Cowboys vs Philadelphia Eagles Preview: Defense

I did not want to see him go, but at least there is no threat of this happening again. If the Dallas Cowboys are going to beat the Philadelphia Eagles this week, they will need another strong showing from the defense.  Rob Ryan’s defense can change significantly from week to week.  It seems that there is much more pre-snap movement and exotic packages against the better offenses...

Michael Vick threw two touchdown passes, LeSean McCoy had a career-best 185 yards rushing and two scores and the Philadelphia Eagles routed the Dallas Cowboys 34-7 on Sunday night.
