Tampa Bay hates to use the "R" word (rebuilding), so the question is: Are new GM Mark Dominik and new head coach Raheem Morris dragging the Bucs' franchise into the future or into the ground? After succesive winning seasons in 2007 and 2008, but not having won a playoff game since 2002, the Glazer family (owners of the Bucs) wanted a new direction. They went young with their new GM (age 37) and head coach (age 32), and gave orders to draft rookie QB Josh Freeman (6-5, 248, Kansas State) in the first round. Assistant coaches were fired. Radical changes in game plans were ordered with the hiring of offensive coordinator Jeff Jagodzinski and defensive coordinator Jim Bates. Five popular veteran players were released, including Pro Bowl LB Derrick Brooks and RB Warrick Dunn, WR's Joey Galloway and Ike Hilliard, and TE Alex Smith (now an Eagle).
