Many people believe that Eli Manning can be contributed into the conversations of the Tom Brady’s, Aaron Rodgers, and Peyton Manning’s. Is there a reason for people not to believe that this statement is not true?

Well in case you did not know, Eli has proven to the league, fans, his team, and himself, that he is elite. After the Super Bowl victory over “Pretty Boy Tom”, his confidence level has increased dramatically because, Eli was finally comfortable with having an elite quarterback title under his belt, along with two Super Bowl rings.

Throwing 29 touchdown passes during the 2011 season with nine of those snagged by salsa dancing Victor Cruz.  Eli also packed on 4,933 passing yards making him just one long 67 yard pass to Hakeem Nicks or Victor Cruz from reaching that 5,000-yard passer club.

In this pass happy league today, you have to be able to come up big when it matters the most. The most meaning the fourth quarter of those hard-nosed and hard-fought football games on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays. The G-Men has had it good these past couple of season in crunch time, but still seems to come up short when asked to win 10+ plus games during the regular season.

Defense wins games and when the defense cannot create that crucial turnover needed, the quarterback will have to take over. This is where Eli stands out. Since the younger Manning brother entered the league in 2004, he has produced 21 fourth quarter comebacks during the regular season months.

In 2006, Eli Manning had a game, which he threw for 371 yards, three touchdowns, and completed 31-43 pass attempts against the Philadelphia Eagles. In that game, you could tell that Eli would be special in years to come in the NFL. With the recognition of being elite in this league, Manning earned the honor of being named the 31stbest player in this year’s Top 100 players of 2012.

Some think he deserves to be ranked higher, but this year’s list is accurate so far, due to all of the up and coming stars in the league. After this year’s draft, the G-Men sent a message out to the fans that they would be making a run for the Lombardi Trophy once again after adding key additions, David Wilson to help the run game and Rueben Randle to replace the role of Mario Manningham. So I’ll ask, why not Eli Manning?
