TEAMS:
New York Giants
Eli Manning is taking the ‘we’re not far” route instead of thinking things on the offense need to be changed. Manning feels the Giants need to convert in the red zone and not leave points on the field.
Manning came up short in his battle against RG3 and that probably doesn’t sit well with him. While he has won 2 Super Bowls, RG3 in three quarters of the season has the entire spotlight on him.
Manning feels the offense wasn’t off track and that a few tweaks should get them right. Four games to go and the Giants are feeling the heat as Washington and Dallas pulled within one game and that’s too close for comfort.
Manning spoke to WFAN in New York with Mike Francesa about the offense in last week’s loss, and what he thinks they can do to score more points.
“That’s usually enough. That’s kinda what we say they can give. We gotta score more touchdowns; we gotta score more points. It can be frustrating because you feel like you play well afterward. You kinda say,
‘We hit big pla...

They need to play the way they did against the 49ers and Packers from here on out....PERIOD!!!! As a huge Giants fan it makes me sick to think about 2 games in particular this season. First of all the eagles game where all we had to do was KICK THE DAMN GAME WINNING FIELD GOAL!!!!! Instead Kevin Killdrive calls a pass to a rookie wide receiver inside the ten yard line and Barden commits offensive pass interference to move the field goal 15 yards further out. That was our WIN if Eli just changed the play at the line and handed off to Bradshaw for a safer run then we kick the game winner. The eagles absolutely SUCK and we gave them a win they never should have had. The other game that sticks in my craw was the last game against Washington, the best kicker in the game misses a FG that would have been the difference between a win and a loss, now the GMen need to do what they did last year in order to take the division. The Giants should be 9-3 but instead they've made it harder on themselves again. Please please please audible at the line when Killdrive calls a STUPID play from here on out Eli.

Former prank target now a Giants star
When he enters the cold tub now at New York Giants headquarters, Prince Amukamara does so voluntarily.
Amukamara's reputation took a bath this summer when a video of the second-year cornerback being roughly dumped in the icy water by Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was posted by another teammate (punter Steve Weatherford) on the Internet.

Diehl back on starting line for champion Giants
Veteran offensive tackle David Diehl is back in the New York Giants' starting lineup, except it wasn't the way he wanted.
Diehl was thrust back into the front line in the fourth quarter of Monday night's 17-16 loss to the Washington Redskins when Sean Locklear suffered a major knee injury that will sideline him for the rest of the season.
Locklear had been one of the...
Giants: Hakeem Nicks Expected to Play
New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks was an unexpected
absence from Thursday’s practice, earning him a questionable tag as the team
prepares for Sunday’s showdown with the New Orleans Saints. However, the wide

Tyler Sash and Travis Beckum are OUT - Kenny Phillips is doubtful - Hakeem Nicks is Questionable for Sunday...
Giants respect Spagnuolo defense, despite ranking
The New York Giants know better than to underestimate a Steve Spagnuolo defense, even one that currently ranks at the bottom of the NFL.
When the Saints' defensive coordinator was in New York, the Giants not only won a Super Bowl, but they saw how Spagnuolo could adapt when things went wrong and improve his unit over time.
Giants guard Kevin Boothe says the thing he remembers...
Giants Impressed With CB Prince Amukamara's Improvement
The Giants like what they have seen from CB Prince Amukamara now more than they did even in the beginning of the season. Hes contesting the run well, tackling and, most importantly, judging deep passes far better than before. In the past, he would mistime his break, get caught looking into the backfield or interfere with receivers. Now, it appears he has far better recognition...
New York Giants defense takes aim at Drew Brees and the Saints
The New York Giants are mad. After their Monday night loss to the Redskins, those that are students of the game knew that they would be.
Atypically for them at this stage of the season that means that they next team up on their roster has to pay a large tax for the events of the game prior.

Giants’ Monday Night Football Loss Causes Man to Hit Wife, Shoot at Police
We realize that sports can make many people upset, but one Florida man clearly took his fandom too far.
Early Tuesday morning, Richard Braccia was still taking in the aftermath of his New York Giants’ 17-15 loss to Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins. According to The Star-Banner, Braccia had been drinking for four hours and is also addicted to pills, a combination that...
Canty out to stuff Saints offense
The big guy from The Bronx deserves a cheer.
New York Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty doesn't take playing for his hometown team for granted, especially around the holidays. Through the charity organization he formed ( chriscantyfoundation.org ), Canty has taken a hands-on approach while trying to help those less fortunate. That includes sponsoring toy giveaways this month...
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Open To Eliminating Kickoffs
New Giants owner John Mara said last April the NFL has been considering eliminating kickoffs in the future and he might not be too far off.

Jason Pierre-Paul says it will be easier to face Drew Brees than RG3
The New York Giants’ defense had a hard time with Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III this past Monday night. Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is happy that they’ll be playing a typical offense then they play the Saints on Sunday.
“The Redskins got a great scheme going on there, especially with their quarterback they got, and just playing that option, man, is crazy,...
Osi praises Brees despite teammate Rolle's lecture
The other day Antrel Rolle went on a mini-rant scolding his New York Giants teammates for gushing over opponent Robert Griffin III before the team played the Washington Redskins.
Yesterday, despite Rolle's call for his team to get "back to being nasty," Osi Umenyiora was downright complimentary towards Drew Brees — the quarterback the Giants will face this Sunday...
New Orleans Saints at New York Giants: Week 14 NFL Pick
New Orleans Saints (5-7) at New York Giants (7-5)
Earlier this week, I outlined why the Redskins should be considered the favorites to win the NFC East. The Redskins, presumably, have the tiebreaker, by virtue of their better divisional record. They are a game back right now, but they are almost definitely going favored in each of their last four games, while the Giants will be favored...
