New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has been having fun with the media and all of their coverage of the New York Jets and quarterback Tim Tebow.
“I told David Carr to take his shirt off while we were running sprints after practice,” Manning said on ESPN Radio (via the NY Daily News) on Thursday, “to see if he can get the same coverage.”
What’s really funny is when Eli took a dig at ESPN.
“Every time you turn on the TV, it’s the Jets. SportsCenter is camped out at the Jets complex.
“I think they are moving everything from (ESPN headquarters in) Bristol (Conn.) to right there, to their complex over there. That will be an interesting move.”
I love Eli’s subtle and laid back way of taking digs at people.

Eli Manning Says Giants Are Not a Dynasty
It is good to know that at least one quarterback in the NFC East knows the definition of a dynasty. Eli who has two more rings than any other quarterback in the division and doesn’t seem to have a problem with sticking his foot in his mouth like the others.
Maybe that is the reason he has those two rings.

New York Giants: Eli Manning a Future Hall of Famer
Let me start by stating I am a die-hard, true blue Dallas Cowboy fan. It all started in 1983 when I saw my first Cowboys game. I was nine.
Since then I’ve been hooked. I haven’t missed a Sunday of football in 25 years and haven’t missed a Cowboys game since 1992.
I live in central New Jersey and hate the New York Giants. Always have, always will.
It was hell for me...
Eli Manning thinks David Carr should run shirtless, a la Tim Tebow, to increase Giants media coverage
Even though they’re based in New York and are the reigning Super Bowl champs, the Giants don’t receive anywhere near the same amount of media coverage that the Jets do. The disparity can be traced nowadays to the “Tebow Factor,” as the Jets backup QB draws more media attention than Eli Manning and the rest of the Giants combined. Case in point—just look at what happened...
Eli Manning jokes that David Carr should run around shirtless like Tim Tebow
When Tim Tebow running around without a shirt on in the rain becomes news, you have to ask yourself if that’s more of an indication of how slow a news day it is or how much people love Tebow. In reality, it was a combination of both. Tebow is probably the only backup quarterback in the league who can make headlines doing something like that (and find himself hanging in an MLB player’s...

Manning fine with media's Jets focus
Giants quarterback Eli Manning isn't bothered by all the attention the media has been paying the Jets, saying it allows his team to focus on only football during training camp.
Eli thinks backup David Carr should go topless like Tebow
Eli Manning said he isn't jealous of all of the attention the New York Jets are getting but— while the two-time Super Bowl won't go topless like the now-infamous Tim Tebow photo— the New York Giants starting quarterback thinks his backup, David Carr, should give it a shot to give the team more exposure.
"I told David Carr to take his shirt off while we were running...
Phil Simms Says Eli Manning is Already a Hall of Famer
Sort of a silly debate because Eli is only 31 years old. Technically, you could say he is entering his prime and already has two Super Bowl rings under his belt.
Even if he never wins another ring he will pad his stats enough that he will go into the Hall of Fame on the first ballot.
But, it is fun for people to talk about if his career ended today would he get in or not.

Phil Simms believes Eli Manning and Tom Coughlin are already Hall of Famers
CBS Sports analyst Phil Simms says that he believes current New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is already headed to the Hall of Fame.
“Here we were five years ago, before the Giants won their first Super Bowl, and all the talk that year was maybe the Giants need to bring another quarterback in and Tom Coughlin’s in trouble,” Simms told USA TODAY Sports.
“Now they both...
Back Sidelines Giants OT Will Beatty For Second Straight Day
Will Beatty missed his second straight day of practice on Saturday. But the man whos being tasked with protecting Eli Mannings blind side this season insisted that there is no need to be concerned. Beatty, who was hampered by back issues throughout the offseason, said his troublesome back is doing good. He did not practice on Friday because of a doctors appointment, but...

Aaron Rodgers Top Rated Quarterback In Madden NFL 13
The NFL quarterback ratings in Madden 13 are out. Green Bay Packer quarterback Aaron Rodgers is No. 1 with a 99 overall.
The game also have plenty of love for New York Giants QB Eli Manning coming off a Super Bowl winning season with a 97 overall (4th on the game). Eli Manning's brother, Peyton Manning, is rated at a 93 overall for the Denver Broncos. All of the QBs in the top...
Cowboys Keep Talking, Giants Keep Winning
The New York Giants love the Dallas Cowboys. Well, should I say, they love hearing from the Dallas Cowboys.
I mean, Cowboy fans can’t really love the teams and the on-field production. They can’t love the post season victories. They can’t love the Super Bowl victories over the last 20 years. Who can? Not the media, not the Dallas fans. Why? Because those things...
Did Jerry Jones really just call out the Giants publicly?

Recently at the Dallas Cowboys' training camp, owner and general manager Jerry Jones told his fans, "Y'all should come to Cowboys Stadium and watch us beat the Giants' asses." The 5,000 Cowboys fans that attended cheered after hearing the remark.
It's honestly amusing that the very outspoken Jones has already lit...
Nice to know Phil Simms thinks Ben is a HOFer too
So Phil Simms thinks Eli Manning would be a Hall of Famer if he decided to retire today. Simms and Eli are both members of the New York Football Giants’ Super Bowl MVP frat so it’s no real surprise that Simms loves his boy, but it’s nice to know that he thinks Ben Roethlisberger would be in the Hall of Fame is he decided to hang ‘em up today too. He didn’t say that per...
