Found March 24, 2013 on Kissing Suzy Kolber:
PLAYERS: Elvis Dumervil
TEAMS: Denver Broncos
Elvis Dumervil has agreed to a five-year, $35 million contract with the Ravens nine days after the Broncos released the linebacker because a fax, agreeing to Denver’s proposed pay cut, sent by Dumervil’s now-former agent arrived at the league’s office minutes too late for the waiver wire deadline on March 15. Dumervil will get $8.5 million in 2013, which is $500,000 more than he would have received after taking Denver’s pay cut. Baltimore gets a proven linebacker to replace Paul Kruger. Meanwhile, Denver not only loses one of its key defensive starters, but must still absorb a $4.89 million cap hit for releasing him. Marty Magid’s screw-up with the fax machine cost him his job, yet still got his client slightly more money and a spot with the team that defeated the Broncos in the playoffs last year. I’m sure they totally makes him feel better about the whole ordeal. The post Elvis Dumervil Is Getting More Money This Year After The Fax Machine Fiasco appeared first on Kissing Suzy Kolber.

The Broncos and the Patriots remain as the top teams in the conference, and that's the way they'll likely stay for the foreseeable...
