Just last month, the 49ers tried to pull off a trade to land cornerback Eric Wright from the Bucs.
After Wright failed his physical with the 49ers, the Bucs decided to release him.
Now it looks like the 49ers may try to sign Wright again. He met with Niners general manager Trent Baalke on Thursday, according to Kevin Lynch.

Kevin Lynch reports that free agent CB Eric Wright spent some time with 49ers GM Trent Baalke on Thursday.
Lynch adds that Wright would need to pass physical to sign with the team.

According to reports, the 49ers have lost conerback Chris Culliver for the season due to a knee injury.
Reports from ESPN.com and NFL.com say Culliver tore his left ACL during Thursday's workouts and will undergo surgery that will keep him off the field for the season. No date has been set for the surgery, according to the reports.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that 49ers ILB Patrick Willis has been diagnosed with a slight fracture in his right hand.
Mortensen adds that the team will to proceed with caution and that Willis is expected to be ready for the start of season.
Willis was injured during Wednesday’s practice after he collided with FB Britt Miller during a blitz pickup drill.
