Bleed Black & Gold:
On NFL Live today ESPN analyst Adam Schefter made it seem like the Steelers were going to keep Mike Wallace for 2012. He said no teams are going to make a move on Wallace “unless circumstances change.” This is due to the free agent market for Wide Receivers. The price for these guys has been ridiculous this offseason.
The price for Wallace plus a first round pick may turn out to be to much. It is causing teams to “shy away” according to Schefter. All good news for the Steelers. Wallace has better stats then DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon and they both got $15+ million guaranteed. Jackson had the higher of the two contracts overall but Garcon had more guaranteed money.
Jackson- 5 Years and $51 million- $15 million guaranteed
Garcon- 5 Years and $42 million- $20.5 million guaranteed
Stats comparison for 2012:
Yards- Wallace 1,193, Jackson 961, Garcon 947
Catches- Wallace 72, Garcon 70, Jackson 58
YPC- Wallace 16.6, Jackson 16.6, Garcon 13.5
First Downs- Wallace ...

NFL-guru Adam Schefter reported on ESPN that there are no teams pursuing Mike Wallace in free agency. For years, Vincent Jackson just wanted the Chargers to pay him like he was an elite receiver. They never did, so the Bucs stepped in and got themselves a #1 wideout.
Adam Schefter from ESPN has a report on twitter that the Cleveland Browns have signed Frostee Rucker. The former defensive end of the Cincinnati Bengals has a reported new contract worth 21 million with 8 million guaranteed. The 20 million number will scare people but the real money is the 8 million which isn't too much for an average pass rusher in the NFL. The hope for the...
Cornerback Brandon Carr has agreed to a five-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys worth $50.1M, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Carr was the most sought after cornerback on the free agent market behind Cortland Finnegan, and Dallas should be thrilled they were able to reel him in after fielding a porous secondary in 2011. And releasing declining 33-year-old vet Terence...
