Good luck Lovie!!! You will missed by a lot fans here in Chicago. Your a great coach and good man.
This continues to be a rough offseason for former Bears coach Lovie Smith.
The Bears missed the playoffs, Smith was fired and then he interviewed for the Bills job Saturday, but Buffalo hired Doug Marrone on Sunday morning.
Smith reportedly is on the Chargers radar, but they're also looking for a general manager so once the Chargers hire a GM, it may open the door for Smith to get a look in San Diego.
Smith was knocked in Chicago for the teams offensive problems, but his defenses usually were excellent and he consistently had the respect of his players. Smiths overall record with the Bears was 81-63 over nine seasons, including a Super Bowl appearance with Rex Grossman at quarterback.

We are open to suggestions for what you’d like to see us ask people on the streets. Holla to rob@baconsports...

Kelly coaching his last Irish game?
This is Notre Dame's dream team. Irish fans have been told for years they couldn't get back to the big game their way, yet here they are in Monday's BCS Championship Game against Alabama.
It's all thanks to Brian Kelly. But I've come to one conclusion:
Brian Kelly should be the coach of the Chicago Bears.
Some people are built for college and some for pros...

Rod Marinelli May Remain Bears' Defensive Coordinator
Last year the Bears decided to replace general manager Jerry Angelo but retain head coach Lovie Smith.
This year there are indications they could follow a similar path on a different level of the organizational flow chart.

As minority coaches win big, focus stays on the field, rather than off of it
While it’s easy to forget now, it was just seven years ago that the biggest story in the lead-up to Super Bowl XL was the race of the head coaches Lovie Smith and Jim Caldwell. The pair were the first African-American coaches to ever go head-to-head with the Vince Lombardi Trophy on the line, and it was all anyone seemed to talk about in the days prior to kick-off.
Thankfully...
Bears Should Put All of Their “Chips” in for Oregon’s Kelly
Strong defense was the calling card of the Bears in the Lovie Smith era. As the old saying goes, defense wins championships, yet defense can only take a team so far. Teams in the modern NFL need an offense that can score at will in order to be successful. The number one and two seeds in the AFC playoffs (Denver and New England) are fourth and first in total offense respectively....
