It has been four years since Plaxico Burress broke the Patriots hearts with a 17-yard touchdown catch over DB Ellis Hobbs to win Super Bowl XLII in the desert. Since then, he’s been to jail and he’s joined the Jets. Today, during a conference call, Burress recalled that moment, the one ingrained forever in the minds of Patriots fans. No, you guys won’t like this. But Burress called it the best moment of his career. “It’s a part of history,” said Burress, who will play in Foxboro for the first time in a decade this Sunday. “To me, it was the greatest Super Bowl ever played. It was a moment that every kid dreams of having.” Burress — who expects to get booed Sunday — torched Hobbs, who planted his feet and watched Burress run right by him with single coverage.
