While Ryan Tannehill seems like the one quarterback that the major media sites are failing to talk about, expect a big game this week from him. Tannehill and the lack luster Dolphins will face the Oakland Raiders this week, who lost one of the best defenders on Monday night against the Chargers. When Ron Bartell was injured it was a huge loss for the Raiders especially when the Raiders released Chimidi Chekwa and DVD (Demarcus Van ****) earlier this season. Van **** was claimed by the Raiders, but the Raiders are doomed in the secondary. I expect the Dolphins offense to take advantage of Bartell’s absence early and often.
Last week against the one of the top defenses in the league (Houston Texans), Tannehill had a very good game. He went 20-36 for 219 yards and 3 interceptions, but against the tough Texans pass rush. This week, he will have to face Richard Seymour and company but expect the Dolphins to role out more in this game targeting the replace...

Free-agent wide receiver Chad Johnson has been officially charged with one count of misdemeanor domestic battery by the Broward County State Attorney in Florida, according to the NFL.com.
If convicted, Johnson faces up to a year in jail. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday and is expected to file a written plea of not guilty.
Johnson and Lozada had barely been married...
DAVIE, Fla. In todays NFL, its tough to score in the red zone the area inside the opponents 20-yard line without some basic weapons.
Heres the checklist: a head-banging running back, a space-clearing tight end, a wide receiver who can go up and get the ball, a crafty quarterback who is proficient at throwing the fade or the back-shoulder pass, and an offensive line that can...

Maybe starting a rookie quarterback with 19 collegiate starts will prove to be the right move in the long run, but for now, it’s really stifling their offense, especially with no one at the wide receiver position who can create separation. Tannehill’s 20 for 36 for 219 yards and 3 interception performance is going to be pretty common for him this...
Just about a month after allegedly headbutting his future ex-wife, Evelyn Lozada, Chad Johnson has now been formally charged with misdemeanor battery, the Associated Press reports.
If convicted, the unemployed receiver faces up to a year in jail.
On August 11, Johnson was involved in a domestic dispute with Lozada, reportedly stemming from a fight over a condom receipt. The incident...
The Oakland Raiders appear to be addressing their glaring need for a long-snapper to replace injured Jon Condo. Travis Tripucka said in his twitter account that he is headed for Oakland, according to the Bay Area News Group, which suggests he is going to work out for the Raiders as a long snapper. "Oakland California, here I come!" said Tripucka (@LunchMeat8) said on...
TThe Oakland Raiders showed the world last night how important a long snapper can be to your team’s successes (or in this case, mind-numbing failures).
After their starting Pro Bowl long snapper Jon Condo left the game with a head injury, back up linebacker Travis Goethel stepped in and tried to fill his shoes … despite not having long snapped since high school. And almost...
(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated. With AP Photos.) By JOSH DUBOW AP Sports Writer The high-risk, high-reward passes that characterized Carson Palmer's first half-season as Oakland Raiders quarterback were absent in the season opener.
Instead of taking chances for big plays down the field in the passing game, Palmer mostly chose the safer route of dumpoffs to running back Darren...
Miami running back Daniel Thomas (concussion) is doubtful for Sunday's game against Oakland.Fantasy Spin:Without Thomas, Reggie Bush is in line for a jump in his workload. Bush rushed 14 times for 63 yards and caught six balls for 46 yards as the Dolphins fell to Houston in Week 1.
Arian Foster was mic’d up during the Texans game against the Dolphins on Sunday, and there was one very special moment caught for all listeners. Arian started yelling at the Dolphins Jimmy Wilson “What’s Ya Name? Turn Around..I Don’t Know You Bro.” Love seeing things like that.

Famous rapper Ice Cube performed his new Raiders anthem “Come and Get Some” as the Raiders opened the season with a home loss to the Chargers. The self-proclaimed President of Raider Nation recorded and performed this as part of a Pepsi NFL anthem project. ESPN writer Lynn Hoppes found Ice Cube’s passion for the sport in his own failure to fulfill his dream and play in the...
Oakland Raiders fans looking forward to a new Silver and Black era, hoping to start the 2012 season with a win against the Chargers, came away extremely disappointed Monday night. Strangely enough, considering the team’s balance just one year ago, it was the defense that kept the team in the game, and it was the [...]

The Headline: Chargers win the battle of who is the least incompetent.
Every year that second game in the Monday night double header is always a brutal thing to sit through. Last year’s Broncos-Raiders game had fans suffering through a barrage of flags by the officials and this year we had a mistake-filled game where the Raiders had some...
