Expect to see the Patriots starters for a while tomorrow night… right?

The most reasonable expectation for tomorrow night’s Patriots-Rams game is that the starters will play into the third quarter. That’s status quo for a third preseason game. If that happens, no one will be surprised. But is it possible they’ll play a little longer because they didn’t have the practice reps of the previous two weeks without any joint practices? Maybe. That’s why every possibility is open. Listen to coach Bill Belichick: “We’ll see how it goes,” Belichick said. “I think the thing that is a little bit different this week than the last two weeks is we haven’t had those practice reps against the preseason opponent, so here we only have a certain number of plays to work with during the game. The last couple of weeks we’ve had these plays plus a lot of other ones.
