Atlanta Falcons fullback Ovie Mughelli only had 13 rushing attempts all season for 36 yards since his main responsibility was to establish blocking for running back Michael Turner. During Sunday’s Pro Bowl, Mughelli recorded the game’s first touchdown to give the NFC an early 7-0 lead. After Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and a trio of Falcons (Turner, Roddy White, and Tony Gonzalez) helped the NFC march down the field, Mughelli punched his way into the end zone from one-yard out. Mughelli has been praised for his ability as a blocker throughout his career–so it’s nice to see the fullback be rewarded by recording a touchdown in his first career Pro Bowl.
