Atlanta Falcons kicker Matt Bryant was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week on Wednesday for his performance against the Green Bay Packers in Week 12. Bryant connected on both of his field goals against the Packers—including the game-winning 47-yard field goal with nine seconds left to give the Falcons a 20-17 lead. It was the third time this season Bryant kicked a field goal within the final two minutes of a game to give Atlanta a lead and he currently ranks second in the NFL when it comes to points (98). On the season, Bryant has connected on 24 of 27 field goals. At 9-2, the Falcons contain the best record in the NFC and are tied with the New England Patriots and New York Jets for best in the league.
