The Chargers acquired 28 year old, six-year veteran RB Danny Woodhead from the New England Patriots in the offseason. The undersized (5' 8", 200 lbs) and underrated pass-catching RB will be a valuable addition to a team in which No. 1 RB Ryan Mathews has shown zero capacity to remain healthy through an entire season, having missed ten games in his first three seasons and being severely limited in many others. Woodhead, on the other hand, touched the ball 121 times in 2012 and accounted for 80 rushes for 312 yards, 41 receptions for 458 yards, and seven touchdowns.Despite Woodhead being the third-down back for the Chargers, his capacity in the pass game is immense, thus increasing his potential in fantasy leagues. Currently, Woodhead is going, on average, in the 12th-13th rounds.
