Each fantasy football week obviously gets more important. And an advantage entering each matchup are the sleepers you give the green light to. With every team in your league having multiple star players or guys that simply rack up points, it’s easy to call that a wash for the most part. When you factor in depth and it’s difficult to figure out which players will provide an edge. So, checking out Week 4′s sleepers, let’s dive in to see who will bring you a key advantage this time around.   Donnie Avery: WR, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. New York Giants) Week 3 was a breakout performance for Donnie Avery. Snagging seven catches on as many targets, Avery racked up 141 receiving yards against the Philadelphia Eagles. Prior to last week, he had managed a mere 49 yards on four catches but did score in Week 1. But entering Week 4 Avery has a ton of appeal. The New York Giants 17th in pass defense, have allowed a 68.1 completion percentage and seven passing scores. With Kansas City’s improved aerial assault, Avery will be able to get yards after the catch and increased opportunities at home on Sunday.   New York Jets Defense (at Tennessee Titans) Unlike 2012, the New York Jets have shown clear signs of improvement and confidence on defense. And coach Rex Ryan’s defense ranks seventh against the pass and sixth against the rush. In addition, Gang Green has allowed just a 47.3 completion percentage, 3.2 yards per carry and has recorded 12 sacks. Facing Jake Locker and the Titans in Tennessee this week, it’s a very favorable matchup for the Jets. Locker has definitely developed early this season, but still only sports a 58.4 completion percentage and Chris Johnson is only averaging 3.7 yards per rush. Although Tennessee’s pass protection has proven reliable, the Jets are just as capable of getting pressure and their coverage will blanket Locker’s receivers well.   Denarius Moore: WR, Oakland Raiders (vs. Washington Redskins) After not recording a catch in Week 2, Oakland’s Denarius Moore put on a solid showing on the road in Mile High in Week 3. There, Moore logged 124 yards on six catches including a big touchdown. He also accounted for 43 yards and a score in Week 1. His acceleration, top speed and improved route-running skills are a big key to the Raiders offense. Terrelle Pryor displayed sound mechanics against the Broncos, not to mention the Raiders get to face the 0-3 Washington Redskins this week at the Coliseum. Washington is terrible in coverage and against the run, and the defense has already allowed eight passing scores (just one pick) and a 67.9 completion percentage. Facing a decently explosive offense in Oakland on Sunday, the Redskins will have issues isolating Moore one-on-one and in zone.   Follow John on Twitter @Rozum27 The post Fantasy Football 2013: Week 4 Sleepers appeared first on Midwest Sports Fans.
