PPR Fantasy Football:
Of all the tight ends in the NFL, I never thought I’d list Jets TE Kellen Winslow as a Week 2 Waiver Wire pickup option. In a career filled with promise and a problematic knee, Winslow’s debut as a Jet could give him a chance at resurrecting what was once considered a dead career.
Lets face it, the Jets don’t have many consistent playmakers on offense. But against the Buccaneers, the Jets looked good in some spots and bad in others. Santonio Holmes caught one pass. Stephen Hill was targeted a team-high 9 times, catching 6 passes for 39 yards. There is still room to grow here, but Geno Smith will need to be comfortable throwing the deep ball to make Hill effective every week. Jeremy Kerley caught 3 passes, but was diagnosed with a concussion. As for Winslow, he was the obvious star of the Jets offense after catching 7 balls for 79 yards and a touchdown. The tight end is a rookie quarterback’s safety net. Winslow showed that Sunday and throughout the preseason. There is ongoing chemis...

ESPN is reporting that Mark Sanchez’s 2013 is effectively kaput after suffering a labral tear in his shoulder.
Sanchez got hurt in the Jets’ preseason game against their in-state rival, the Giants. It has been an absolutely bizarre last 24 months for Sanchez, who went from the guy leading the Jets to AFC Championship Games to a media-induce, buttfumbling sideshow.
The Geno Smith...

PP - While the Butt-fumble game is still fresh in everyone’s mind’s, the reality is that every early season game between the Pats and Rex’s Jets has been close, with the Jets winning the first...
Geno Smith picked a great time on Sunday to play sound football for the New York Jets, and with the help of a perfectly timed late hit, it was just enough to propel the Jets to a narrow victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With one win in his pocket, is it possible that Geno Smith will lead the Jets to a respectable record in 2013?
Well, the short and simple answer to my own...
The New York Jets lost a touchdown on Thursday night after referees reviewed a play in the end zone and determined receiver Clyde Gates did not have possession of the ball long enough for a catch. Mark Sanchez might need shoulder surgery because he has a tear in his labrum, according to a report. New York Jets defensive end Mo Wilkerson is just trying to fit in. The former first-round pick has been with the team since 2011, so he is more than familiar with New York’s philosophy — talk trash, radiate confidence, and pray you can back it up. On Monday, Wilkerson told Newsday’s Bob Glauber that he […]
Jets tight end Kellen Winslow was limited in participation in Wednesday's practice.Fantasy Spin:Given hius injury history, that's to be expected. Winslow had 79 yards and a touchdown on seven catches Sunday against the Bills. He should see consistent targets from Smith and is a decent option in two-TE leagues.
New York Jets, wide receiver, Santonio Holmes, played 45 snaps on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and caught one ball for 13 yards. As Curtis Crabtree of NBCSports reports, Holmes, who played in his first game since suffering a Lisfranc injury, feels he could have played more.As I wrote in my previous articles on Holmes, I cannot figure this cat out. Holmes spent the...
When the New England Patriots opted to sign Danny Amendola over veteran Wes Welker, there was only one major factor that could derail their plan.
That is the risk of injury.

Sometimes reality isn’t quite what it seems, and sometimes you’re the Jets.
The New York Jets were viewed as something of a circus last season and that perception seemed to follow them into 2013. Rex Ryan as quick to dispute that notion on Tuesday.
