Start ‘em & Sit ‘em Week 13 Fantasy Football – Seattle Seahawks Week 13 Predictions The Seattle Seahawks stay on the road this week where they are far less effective than they are at home. Add in the fact that they are up against the top defense in the NFL at Soldier Field and the prospects for a monster Fantasy day have to be considered dim at best Sunday. That said there is some Fantasy relevance with the Seahawks lineup. So which Seahawks are worthy of a start for your Fantasy squad this week – let’s take a look. Seahawks Fantasy Forecast for Week 13: QB Russell Wilson 30 yards rushing 180 yards passing, 1 TD Wilson has thrown multiple touchdowns four straight games and is really showing improvement but this week he has a very tough task repeating those performances. Chicago has allowed just four TD passes in their last six home games – unreal! I suppose he could look at tape of what Colin Kaepernick did to the Bears but starting anyone against Chicago is not advised. Look for an average performance at best for Wilson this week and keep him on your bench for Fantasy purposes. RB Marshawn Lynch 100 yards rushing, 1 TD, 2 catches, 10 yards Teams that rely on the run have done surprisingly well against Chicago as of late – Minnesota, Houston, Tennessee and San Francisco have all found a little success against this tough unit – all of the mentioned have gone over 100 yards rushing against the Bears! Marshawn Lynch will be motivated after an ugly performance last week in Miami – look for a bounce back this week and for Lynch to be Seattle’s best offensive player. You can’t bench this guy – he is too valuable to keep out of your Fantasy lineup. WR Sidney Rice 4 catches, 50 yards, 1 TD The Bears pass defense is plain scary! After a rather pedestrian Week 12 in Miami Sidney Rice is hard to trust this week especially since the Bears have given up TDs to WR only twice all season long. I project a TD for Rice this week with moderate yardage but I don’t feel comfortable starting him in Fantasy. Lynch should rumble for 100 yds on the ground, catch a couple passes and have 1 TD on Sunday vs. the Bears D. He has scored in three of four but will have a very tough time this Sunday. WR Golden Tate 3 catches, 40 yards Golden Tate has recorded four catches in just one game this season – that’s it! Against the Bears Tate figures to have a tough time, just like Rice. Chicago gives up nothing in the passing game and will likely clamp down on Tate this week. I don’t recommend starting any player against the Bears – ever! So Seattle’s second best has to be on the Fantasy bench! TE Zach Miller 4 catches, 40 yards If the Bears have one weakness on defense it is against opposing Tight Ends. That said Zach Miller is losing some touches to Anthony McCoy. Miller will have his average game with a tiny bit of upside as Russell Wilson’s necessary outlet. PK Steven Hauschka 1 FG 2 XP D/ST 300 yards, 3 sacks, 2 INT, 1 FF The Bears certainly aren’t immune to the turnover and this week should be no different. The Bears will be without their two starting guards which makes the path to Jay Cutler much, much easier. Chicago will give up sacks which should lead to turnovers which should ensure that the Bears don’t score a ton. The Hawks are a Top 5 Defensive unit this week – start with confidence!
