TEAMS: Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers
Fantasy Football News - According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazzette (which is not an official source, so keep your cool Roethlisberger owners), Ben is expected to start in week 14 versus the San Diego Chargers. Mike Tomlin later said that Ben will be given an opportunity in practice to prove he is healthy. I believe Mike, and we should all keep an eye on the reports starting with Wednesday’s practice.
FFLockerRoom Take - This would immediately upgrade fellow Steelers Jonathan Dwyer, Antonio Brown and Mike Wallace if Ben were able to suit up. Charlie Batch played his heart out and left everything on the field against the Ravens, and I admire him for that, but Roethlisberger gives the Steelers the best chance to win and gives his team mates the best chance to be fantasy relevant during the playoffs.
Antonio Brown looked pretty good against the Ravens and would have finished with a decent stat line in his first game back from injury if it weren’t for that interception he threw on a trick...

Writing on the wall for Byron Leftwich and Rashard Mendenhall?
You don’t have to be a conspiracy theorist to rationally think to yourself that both Rashard Mendenhall and Byron Leftwich may very well be looking at their last season in a Steelers uniform. Given the production of both players this season, or lack thereof, the lack of playing time post injury, and the recent updates by Mike Tomlin in his Tuesday press conference this week, things...

Another Harbaugh, another handshake issue. This time, though, it was Ravens head coach John Harbaugh who got into it with the opposing coach during the handshake. In Mike Tomlin’s weekly Tuesday press conference he confirmed that Charlie Batch is the starter and they are preparing for the Chargers with that mentality. Tomlin Got it Right on Special Teams This Week
Pittsburgh Steelers’ Head Coach Mike Tomlin has been my personal punching bag on my than one occasion this season and while not all of it was deserved in some eyes, I have to believe the vast majority of Steelers’ Nation will agree with me in praising the Steelers’ boss. Mike Tomlin finally got the hint. It’s one that far too many NFL and even college football coaches are...
Chargers Head Into Steelers Game With Offensive Line Decimated By Injuries
The Pittsburgh Steelers currently have a very banged up roster as was evidenced by the run down of injuries by head coach Mike Tomlin during his Tuesday press conference, but the San Diego Chargers, who the Steelers will host Sunday at Heinz Field, have a decimated offensive line right now.
In the Chargers loss this past Sunday to the Cincinnati Bengals they lost starting right...

Pittsburgh went right through the Ravens’ defense at the start of the third quarter. Jonathan Dwyer got in the end zone from 16 yards out to tie the game at 13.
