In what looked on paper to be an absolute blowout, the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars combined Sunday afternoon to produce the biggest fantasy football scoring fest of the afternoon. The Jaguars entered the contest Sunday afternoon after allowing a league leading six straight opponents to score 24 points or more against them, and that continued after surrendering 43 to the Texans, but the Jacksonville offense came to life. QB Chad Henne- After Blaine Gabbert exited the game with an elbow injury, Henne rallied, throwing for 354 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. His performance was truly amazing based on the fact that he completed just 16 of 33 passes for just a 48.5% completion percentage. The journeyman quarterback torched the third ranked pass defense in the league for four touchdown passes. According to NFL.com, Henne scored 30.86 points. WR Justin Blackmon- The fifth overall pick in the NFL draft has struggled this season, but he seems to have pretty good ...

Week 12 Power Ranks: Jaguars leave the cellar for the first time this year marking Chad Henne’s finest NFL accomplishment

It isn’t often that a move up from last place on our ranks gets you the lead story, but it isn’t often that the loss of a starting quarterback allows for an offensive rebirth, either. For the first time this season we have a new low man on the totem pole; after a week 11 …

Chad Henne will be Jacksonville's starting quarterback Sunday against Tennessee. Coach Mike Mularkey made the announcement Monday, one day after Henne threw for 354 yards and four touchdowns in a 43-37 overtime loss at Houston. Blaine Gabbert injured his right forearm early in the game and had trouble gripping the ball. Henne replaced him in the first quarter and completed...

Houston Texans Slip By Chad Henne and the Jaguars in OT

The final score was 43-37.  The Jacksonville Jaguars went into Reliant Stadium and held their own.  The Jaguars continued the road show, playing their opponents' hard.  You need proof?  Check out linebackers Paul Posluszny face in the fourth quarter.  With blood clouding his face and four stitches in his forehead, Posluszny and the defense did not lay down for the Texans...

Blaine Gabbert era likely over in Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Jaguars lost today. That's no surprise to anyone who's paid them any attention this season. The manner in which they lost, however, was nothing short of shocking. The Jaguars played the AFC's top team, the Houston Texans, today, and they led much of the game. With just 8 minutes to go, the Jaguars held a 14 point lead, but it just didn't last. ...

Texans 43, Jaguars 37 (OT)

HOUSTON - The Texans have developed a reputation as a strong defensive team, but on Sunday at Reliant Stadium, with their defense under siege from Jacksonville backup quarterback Chad Henne and rookie receiver Justin Blackmon, the Texans needed their offense to bail them out. Quarterback Matt Schaub set a franchise record for completions while receiver Andre Johnson enjoyed a...

Week 12 Pass Defense: Hanging with Chad

No more bye weeks!  This is great news for everyone whose team isn’t riddled with injuries.  QBs seem to be dropping like flies with concussions and other assortments of injuries, but for some teams (Jacksonville, I’m looking at you), that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Seriously, if you predicted Chad Henne could come into a game against The Texans and throw 4 TDs for 350...
