Do you own RGIII? How about Larry Fitzgerald? Has Percy Harvin’s injury left you without a WR for two weeks? Or maybe you have the worst fate of all for Week 10: you own mostly Packers. No matter what fantasy ailment you’re afflicted with this week, we can find a cure for you. Fantasy Football Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups Ryan Tannehill, QB, MIA (Yahoo! 8%, FOX) This will be the only time you’ll see me pimp Tannehill. I still think Carson Palmer is option 1A on most waiver wires, but this week Tannehill may be as good. The Titans entered Week 9 allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and have now allowed multiple touchdown passes in seven of their nine games this season. The other advantage of Tannehill is his schedule in the second half and for the fantasy playoffs. Five of the Dolphins’ final eight games come against teams that entered Week 9 in the bottom 10 of the league against opposing quarterbacks. He’s a likely upgrade to your QB2. Vick Ballard, RB, IND (Yahoo! 32%, FOX 29.4%) Donald Brown’s status for Week 10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars is in doubt due to a short week heading into the Thursday night game. This means Ballard is the Colts’ primary back in a favorable matchup. Jacksonville came into Week 9 allowing 20+ fantasy points per game to RBs, and allowed 151 rushing yards and four touchdowns to the Detroit Lions’ running backs on Sunday. Vick Ballard is a guy to snipe if you want to steal Week 10. Mike Goodson, RB, OAK (Yahoo! 11%, FOX 2.3%) This is an add that I don’t feel 100% comfortable recommending. Darren McFadden is not definitely out for Week 10. Also, Goodson injured his ankle on Sunday. This is a very high-risk play. There is a lot of upside here though. Goodson has some skills, and will see the majority of touches if McFadden is out any period of time. If you lost McFadden, or are really hard up for a RB, make a claim. Otherwise, I don’t love this pick-up. TY Hilton, WR, IND (Yahoo! 7%, FOX 3.2%) Hilton had six catches on 11 targets for 102 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Dolphins. Between that breakout, and with Donnie Avery’s hip injury, he makes a great Week 10 option. Avery is looking unlikely to make the quick turnaround to play against an awful Jacksonville team Thursday. Hilton should be owned in all 12+ team leagues and is a situational bye-week add in 10-team formats if Avery is out for any length of time. Brandon Myers, TE, OAK (Yahoo! 21%, FOX 9.1%) Between this article and the Fantasy Football Forecast Podcast, I’ve been singing the praises of Brandon Myers in recent weeks. With all the inconsistency surrounding the Tight End position, Myers is not only getting regular action, but is trending upwards statistically. He’s a guy you can start in any league in any format. Myers caught eight passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday’s loss to the Buccaneers. The Raiders are past their bye-week too. I would go so far as to drop TEs like Dennis Pitta and Jermichael Finley to grab Myers. ***** One random point, considering Harvin’s injury and the Vikings awful schedule, if you own their defense, sell high or drop them entirely. They play Detroit, Green Bay twice, Chicago twice, play Houston and have their bye-week still. I also recommend picking up any available Steelers RBs. Whoever plays on a given week seems a lock for 10+ points. Grab who you can and start them as a plus Flex option when they play.
