While Jadeveon Clowney holds the nation, or at least South Carolina, Clemson, and Alabama, hostage, it’s a bit brash to throw complete caution to the wind and projecting him to be the next Jevon Kearse. After all, it was only ten years ago that Kevin Jones was the most highly recruited player ever to land at Virginia Tech. Now a decade later, Jones hasn’t been in the NFL for years and is currently back studying in Blacksburg. We look back on a can’t miss NFL prospect that did.
Coming from the Pennsylvania school Cardinal O’Hara High School, Jones was all the rage in 2001, having rushed for over 5,700 yards throughout his career.
