// > Michael Vick will release his autobiography, “Finally Free” on September 4th. Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick has written an autobiography chronicling his life growing up as a high school and college football star through his days as a superstar with the Atlanta Falcons. The book, entitled “Finally Free” also discusses his indictment and incarceration for running a dogfighting ring. Vick’s motivation for telling his story is to let people know that even if they fail, redemption is still possible. Michael Vick served two years in a federal prison for his role in the dogfighting ring, but was reinstated to the NFL in 2009 and surprisingly signed by the Philadelphia Eagles. He served a season as the backup to Donovan McNabb, only getting into games in the short lived wildcat formation. The following offseason, McNabb was traded to the Washington Redskins and the team was handed to Kevin Kolb. At least for the first 30 minutes of the season. Vick was named the starter the next week and has continued in that role since. Vick played at a very high level in 2010, usually in the discussions for league MVP until a quick exit from the playoffs derailed that hope. Last season Vick led the Eagles to a very frustrating 8-8 season and the team missed the playoffs. Vick is promising a rebound season for the Eagles and said he wants to deliver Philly a Super Bowl win. Michael Vick began penning the autobiography while he was incarcerated. The book will be available on September 4th.
