The NFL Network came out with its yearly Top 100 player rankings earlier in the summer, and you may have noticed that there are some notable players that are left off this list. A new contributor to the site, Skye, found five NFLers who he believed were deserving to be slotted somewhere in the Top 100.
Michael Vick, QB, Philadelphia Eagles:
Reason for being off the list: For starters, Vick only played 10 games in 2012 due to injury. In those 10 games he threw 10 interceptions and only 12 touchdowns. His rushing stats also took a huge fall, in a year in which the dynamic QB rushed for only 337 yards and 1 touchdown. Combined with the Eagles 4-12 season, it’s easy to see why Vick is off this year’s list.
Should he be off the list?: It is hard to say, due to the fact he is a dynamic playmaker that a defense has to gameplan for. One of the main reasons he had a down year was because the offensive line did a terrible job protecting him. Ultimately, I believe Vick will thrive in Chip Kel...
